Andrew Jaunich is standing in the back row, third from left. He’s from Melbourne and graduated from Satellite High. The soldiers pictured are all Americans. Some of them are part of an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team. They are in Wardak province which is near Kabul. The dog is an EOD dog otherwise known as a "bomb-sniffing dog." Andrew said they loved the packages, especially the snacks. He's said on numerous occasions that their schedule is so weird that sometimes they don't make it to the dining facility and snacks are awesome to have available.
The 87th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division received over 50 boxes of goodies from home thanks to all that contributed! The drive began on America’s Independence Day July 4 and concluded on Nov. 11, Veteran’s Day…
“We’re grateful that the community was so supportive in our efforts to acknowledge the efforts of those fighting for our freedom so far from home. We continue to hope for their safe return to their families,” said Don Kramer, founder of One Senior Place.
