Hereafter known as a Certified Care Manager (CCM), Mrs. Fradkin is now designated an Aging Life Care Professional. Also known as a geriatric care manager, an Aging Life Care Professional is a health and human services specialist who acts as a guide and advocate for families who are caring for older relatives or disabled adults. About Barbara Fradkin — Social work is Barbara’s passion, particularly helping seniors with their life’s journey.  Originally from Waukesha, Wisconsin, Barbara joined the One Senior Place team in Brevard in 2014 to continue her life’s work.  She was named Director in 2019 and earned the Aging Life Care Professionaldesignation in 2020. Barbara provides free in-person and telephone consultations to aging seniors and their family members and helps them navigate and evaluate complex choices. She is always appreciative when senior clients report that her referral to a Brevard business or service turned out to be “just right.” Barbara brings more than 35 years of experience in the healthcare field to One Senior Place, including a background in skilled nursing. She graduated from Carroll University in Wisconsin with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and has a Certificate in Mental Health with Older Adults from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She and husband Steve have been married for over four decades, with two grown children and three grandchildren. In her free time, Barbara enjoys being with family, gardening, cooking and just relaxing in the Florida sunshine.
