Comedy-mystery novels provide laugh-out-loud insight on aging

(Altamonte Springs, FL)  – Joy Johnson has helped thousands laugh their way beyond depression and grief with the help of four fictional widows, The BOOB Girls: The Burned Out Old Broads at Table 12.  On Wednesday, April 3rd at 2:00 PM, the comedy-mystery writer will discuss her lighthearted novels at One Senior Place, 715 Douglas Avenue in Altamonte Springs, 32714.  The BOOB Girls who dine together at Meadow Lakes Retirement Community’s table 12 find adventure, romance, mystery and prove there is life after grief.  Ms. Johnson’s presentation involves jokes from the books, a lively dissertation on the beauty of older, seasoned women and a time for signing and personalizing the books available for sale.  For information or program details, call 407-949-6733 or visit the One Senior Place events calendar at www.OneSeniorPlace.com.

An international public speaker and author on bereavement and grief, Johnson helped found Centering Corporation, North America’s oldest and largest grief resource center, and Ted E. Bear Hollow, the Omaha-Council Bluffs areas center for grieving children.

The BOOB Girls success meant a change in direction for the author of over 100 books on grief.

“Now it’s all fun,” Johnson said. “I love the BOOB Girls. They’re my best friends and I have had so many women ask if there’s room for one more at Table 12.”

The BOOB Girls program is just one of dozens of events presented annually by One Senior Place, a marketplace for resources and provider of information, advice, care and on-site services for seniors and their families.  One Senior Place Greater Orlando is located at 715 Douglas Avenue in Altamonte Springs.  It is near Florida Hospital, off I-4 between State Roads 434 and 436.  A complete calendar of One Senior Place events and information is available at www.OneSeniorPlace.com, through FaceBook at www.facebook.com/OneSeniorPlaceOrlando or by calling 407-949-6733.
