‘Wednesdays in Advent’ Filled with Activities at Advent Lutheran Church

Wednesdays just got a whole lot busier at Advent Lutheran Church in Suntree. The church at 7550 North Wickham Road will provide free afternoon and evening activities for the public during Wednesdays in Advent (December 4, 11 & 18), starting with noon “mini concerts” on the grand pipe organ.

Each of the Christmas themed concerts by Central Florida guest organists will be followed by seasonal refreshments, culminating on December 18 with Christmas carols and an audience sing-along. And as Wednesdays in Advent evenings approach, the public can partake in Dinner, Drama & Discussion at 5:30 PM, a series of original, one-act plays performed by the Advent Lutheran Church drama team, preceded by a free dinner. Cast members from the “dinner theater” productions will engage the audience at their tables to facilitate discussion around the action on stage. An optional, brief worship will conclude the evening event and attendees may leave a free will offering for the meal if they desire. Advent is a season in the Christian calendar characterized by preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus at Christmas.
