Musical prodigies showcased in Cocoa Beach concert.  The next generation of exceptionally talented performers can be heard during Music on the River, the Cocoa Beach concert series featuring rising musical stars. At 3:30 PM on Sunday, October 27, the public is invited to an afternoon of free music at First United Methodist Church of Cocoa Beach, at 3300 N. Atlantic Avenue (A1A) in Cocoa Beach.

The program will feature 10 outstanding young musicians, including 17-year-old vocalist Shannon Reid, 18-year-old cellist and accordionist Caspian Chaharom, 16-year-old flutist Kayla Eusebio, 17-year-old cellist Megan Herman, 17-year-old harpist Sasha O’Kane, 16-year-old vocalist Isaiah Brasher, 18-year-old vocalist Carley Spradlin, 16-year-old cellist Alexandra Diakakis, 16-year-old pianist Darya Chaharom, 17-year-old vocalist Andrew Meier, and 15-year-old bassist and saxophonist Alexander Kaufman. The program will feature music from various musical periods by composers that include Bach, Menken, Debussy, Piazzolla and Haydn. The audience can also expect to hear a number of popular Broadway show tunes. The concert is free, with a suggested donation of $10. Music on the River concerts are courtesy of a partnership between the Creative Arts Foundation of Brevard, First United Methodist Church of Cocoa Beach and the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra.  Each Music on the River performance is entirely produced by the aspiring youngsters. Musical theater standout, Shannon Reid of Edgewood Jr/Sr High School has taken the reins of the October 27 event for her senior project. The non-profit Creative Arts Foundation of Brevard is dedicated to supporting exceptionally talented young performers through grants, tuition assistance and performance opportunities.
