‘Party for the Playhouse’ Puts FUN in Fundraising

The 250-seat Surfside Playhouse, “Where the Beach Meets the Stage,” is Brevard’s only beachside community theatre.  Fans of Surfside Playhouse in Cocoa Beach will gather on Saturday, February 22 at the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront and Party for the Playhouse in an event that promises to put the FUN in fundraising. The entertaining evening at 1550 North Atlantic Avenue (A1A) in Cocoa Beach begins at 5:30 PM and will feature a sit-down dinner, cash bar and numerous silent auction items that include jewelry, works by local artists, travel to exciting destinations, and various services and merchandise from Brevard County businesses. DeeJay “Louie Las Vegas” will provide the dance tunes for the evening event designed to defray the costs of theatrical productions, educational programs and facility upgrades at Surfside Playhouse. Additional musical entertainment will be presented by starring performers from the current season of the Surfside Playhouse and will include a sneak peek at numbers from the upcoming The Pirates of Penzance. Attendees will be the first to learn of the theatrical productions scheduled for the 2020-21 season.
