Space Coast Symphony Orchestra presents musical story time for children

Families are sure to love Music at the Watering Hole, a free online concert film brought to cyberspace by the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra, Mendx Studios and Central Florida author, Michele Wallace Campanelli. On Sunday, November 15 at 3:00 PM, the program will come to life on screen, featuring characters from the original children’s story by Campanelli. King of Africa, Kojo the Lion is surprised when a box falls off a tourist bus and drops a symphony of musical instruments near his watering hole. He decides to bring all of the wild animals of the Savannah together to form an orchestra –including natural enemies! Similar to an orchestrated “story time,” the family concert on film will be narrated by actor, Eric Pinder.  It will feature kid-tested musical selections from Madagascar, Lion King, Zootopia, Jungle Book, Jurassic Park, The Croods and more, along with demonstrations of musical instruments by costumed musicians.

Music at the Watering Hole is funded through a grant by Indian River Impact 100, an organization of women dedicated to impacting the community through transformational giving. Approximately 60-minutes in length, the film will be premiered in a free live stream event from the orchestra website at SpaceCoastSymphony.org.
