Socially distanced patriotism is on display during the Space Coast Symphony Wind Orchestra’s Sweet Land of Liberty 7:00 PM drive-in concerts on Friday, August 14 in Vero Beach and Saturday August 15 in Viera. The second in the series of fresh air concerts, Sweet Land of Liberty will honor all those who have worn our nation’s uniform as well as our defense workers. Always a crowd pleaser, the annual patriotic concert is filled with jaunty marches, anthems and American-inspired themes. Attendees are invited to wear red, white and blue in a show of patriotic solidarity. Musicians will play their instruments safely separated from each other, while concert attendees can remain in their cars and tune their radios to the live feed, or set up their own seating next to their vehicles. All Treasure Coast drive-up summer series concerts will be performed on Fridays at 7:00 PM at Pathway Church, 1105 58th Avenue in Vero Beach.  All Space Coast drive-up summer series concerts will be performed on Saturdays at 7:00 PM at The Avenue Viera, 2261 Town Center Avenue in Melbourne. Conductor Aaron T. Collins will direct Sweet Land of Liberty, a concert of patriotic favorites by Lee Greenwood, Richard Rodgers, Morton Gould, Adam Gorb, and marches from “The March King,” John Philip Sousa.

Tickets for the drive-up concerts are $10 per person or $25 per carful of adults at spacecoastsymphony.org. Admission is free for ages 18 and under or with a student ID.  Advance online ticket sales are encouraged, to help limit social interaction with parking attendants.
