Don’t Miss Out! Life Changing Skills! Dialectical Behavior Therapy is designed to help YOU help patients who struggle with challenging behaviors and sustained change. 

This training will provide an introductory overview of the key strategies used in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). DBT skills are crucial to changing lives, motivating and communicating effectively-all requirements in the art of DBT. This training will teach a broad overview of the philosophy and theory of DBT and concrete DBT strategies, including dialectics, validation, and irreverance. The key strategy of chain analysis will also be taught. Participants will be provided with a 8-session DBT-informed outline to use in individual sessions.

Time: 9 am to 5 pm (registration starts at 8:30 am)

Dr. Meyers directs the DBT program and PTSD treatment team at the Orlando VA and co-owns the META Clinic, LLC, in Minnesota. She previously created and led a DBT and Prolonged Exposure IOP for complex PTSD, co-led the DBT clinical and training program for 10 years at the Minneapolis VA, and led dozens of national DBT trainings in the VA, universities, and private practice. Dr. Meyers is certified as a DBT provider by the DBT-Linehan Board of Certification. She is deeply passionate about DBT, treating high-risk trauma, and mentoring others to do the same.
