The Indialantic Chamber Singers will draw from 20 years of past performances when they ask the musical question, How Can We Keep From Singing? in two Brevard locations this month.  Begun in 1999 by Conductor Emeritus David Vogeding, the Indialantic Chamber Singers are known for their flawless rendition of both accompanied and a cappella works, earning them the reputation as Brevard’s premier choral ensemble. The group will perform a variety of sacred and secular choral works, starting with a Sunday afternoon concert at Advent Lutheran Church in Suntree on October 13 at 3:00 PM, 7550 N. Wickham Road.   How Can We Keep From Singing? will be reprised one week later at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 20 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 106 North Riverside Drive in Indialantic.  The program includes music old and new, including “If Music Be the Food of Love,” “I’m Gonna Sing When the Spirit Says Sing,” “I Sing Because I’m Happy,” “I Still Can Hear Your Song,” and of course, “How Can I Keep From Singing?” Director Beth Green will conduct the group, with accompaniment by pianist Teresa Fleenor.  How Can We Keep From Singing? is free of charge, with a suggested donation of $10. The Indialantic Chamber Singers have performed several times in the nation’s capital at the invitation of the Washington National Cathedral. The organization is supported entirely by patron donations. For more information about How Can We Keep From Singing? or the performing season for the Indialantic Chamber Singers, visit www.IndialanticChamberSingers.org or call (321) 426-0360.
