The Community Band of Brevard will start their 35th anniversary season with a Big Band Extravaganza on Sunday, September 8 at 3:00 PM, at  Merritt Island High School Auditorium, 100 Mustang Way (off North Courtenay Parkway, 32953).  Led by conductor Marion Scott, the band will showcase the music of bandleaders and singers of the Big Band Era, including greats like Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Woody Herman, Benny Goodman and others. The audience can expect to hear musical arrangements of works by Henry Mancini and Gershwin, along with tribute medleys to Dave Brubeck, Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra. Big Band Extravaganza is a wide-ranging concert that spans the hits of several decades.

As is usual for all CBOB concerts, Big Band Extravaganza is FREE with no ticket required and no reserve seating.
