‘An Old Fashioned Christmas’ in Cocoa Beach

Riverside Presbyterian Church in Cocoa Beach, will put its well-earned reputation as The Music Church on display when they present the program beloved by locals, An Old Fashioned Christmas at 3:30 PM on Sunday, December 8.  The free concert at 3400 N. Atlantic Avenue (A1A) is part of the 2019-20 season of the popular Dr. Vernon Boushell Concert Series and will feature traditional Christmas songs and carols, performed by the Indialantic Chamber Singers and the Brevard Youth Chorus.

The Chamber Singers will sing time honored favorites like,  “Still, Still, Still,” “Carol of the Bells,” “Ding Dong Merrily on High” and more, while the youth singers will entertain the crowd with “Silver Bells,” “Jingle Bell Rock” and other tunes.  The choral groups will come together on such numbers as, “A Christmas Antiphonal” and “The Virgin Mary Had a Baby Boy.” Concert-goers can expect a whole host of well-loved Christmas songs under the direction of Beth Green and Joani Slawson, conductors for the Indialantic Chamber Singers and Brevard Youth Chorus, respectively. Audience sing-along favorites are interspersed throughout the program, with on-screen lyrics provided.
