One Senior Place Names Greater Orlando Director
Orlando – 2023 Brevard-based One Senior Place, the Central Florida marketplace for senior resources, has named Chris Shepherd as the new Director of its Greater Orlando branch location in Altamonte Springs. In his new role, the former volunteer service manager and creator of enrichment programs for seniors will oversee day-to-day operations as well as business development for One Senior Place. With a lengthy background in service to seniors, Shepherd will oversee the on-site specialist who provides free 30-minute consultations to aging adults and their family members. The process helps clients navigate the maze of senior resources and evaluate choices. Shepherd, a resident of Mount Dora, will also coordinate and host the numerous informational and educational seminars presented monthly at 715 Douglas Avenue in Altamonte Springs. Mr. Shepherd brings to the job a host of skills in strategic partnerships and creative program development for seniors, assisted by an academic background in education and counseling. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham, Alabama, and earned a master’s degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky.
