Senior Living OptionsSenior L Senior Living OptionsOrlando, FL – One Senior Place Greater Orlando will be hosting a Senior Living Options informational program on Wednesday, July 15 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Altamonte Springs. Representatives from more than 10 local senior living facilities will be present at the event to answer questions and provide information to attendees.

The goal of the program is to help seniors and their families make informed decisions about senior living options. Areas of focus will include in-home care vs. senior living options, things to look for when touring and requiring about a facility, preparing your home for in-home care, and possible payment options (Medicare, Medicaid, Long-Term Care Insurance, Veteran’s Aid, etc.).

“A lot of information is out there and it can be overwhelming,” explains Emily Stowers, MSW, Aging Services Manager at One Senior Place. “The terminology can also be very confusing, so this is an opportunity to get a clearer image of what’s available and to talk and meet with senior living professionals.”

Participating communities will be offering a FREE voucher to all participants (one per family) for lunch and a tour of one of the senior living communities that will be represented at the event. This will give attendees an opportunity to get a first-hand look at some of the senior living options in the local community.
