Centurions Celebrate at Courtenay Springs Village
Submitted by Debbie Williams, Marketing Director, Courtenay Springs Village, a One Senior Place Resident Business
Courtenay Springs Village residents Bertha Martin (far left), Florence “Sis” Scott (second to left), Martha Estep (center) and Helen Barnini (right) proudly display their youthful vigor!
All four ladies have recently joined the status of “Centurion” and were recognized on September 27th at the Birthday celebration of Martha Estep.
Each lady shared an interesting fact: Bertha worked for the government as a time keeper for 26 years. She will turn 101 on March 15, 2015. Florence arrived at her 100th Birthday party riding on the back of a motorcycle dressed in leather! She will be 101 on March 17, 2015. Martha has been around the world in 90 days and is a retired teacher. She is the youngest centurion. Helen lives a very quiet life loving her wonderful family, she will be 102 on June 3, 2015!
Shine on ladies!
