MacMAD meeting(Viera, FL)  –  Owners of Apple mobile devices rejoice: Free training on your iPhone and iPad will be available at Viera-based One Senior Place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, July 27, 28 & 29.  Sessions will be offered from 2-4 PM in the afternoon and then again at 6-8 PM each evening.  DeLaura Financial Planning will host the Space Coast Apple User Group, MacMAD, at One Senior Place, the marketplace for senior resources at 8085 Spyglass Hill Road in Viera.  Longtime Apple facilitator, Dennis Crowley will review the ways to interact with your iOS 8 device, from the external controls, touch screen and predictive keyboard, to Siri, Apple’s digital assistant.  Crowley will cover essential tasks like making and receiving calls and email, to purchasing and installing apps, using Face Time video calling and syncing your various Apple products.  To reserve a seat at the informal educational event, call (321) 751-6771.

Session host and financial planner Jim DeLaura is a relatively new iphone user.  Just like the session attendees, he is still learning all that Apple products can offer.

“We’re offering afternoon and evening sessions over three days, so that people can come with their questions and mobile devices,” said DeLaura.  “MacMAD stresses that no one knows it all, no question is too basic, and everyone learns something by participating.”

Dozens of senior-focused businesses are affiliated with One Senior Place, a marketplace for resources and provider of information, advice, care and on-site services for seniors and their families.  More information about One Senior Place is available at
