LTC Advisors and One Senior Place Present “Blindsided: The Realities of Aging”

blindsided-revisedAs baby boomers age, the sheer number of older adults in the United States will be unprecedented. According to the AARP, there were 89 million individuals over the age of 65 in 2015. The organization also reports that the 85-and-older population will increase by 69 percent between 2012 and 2032. In the coming years, tens of millions of seniors will require long-term healthcare, which many are unprepared to pay for. And as millions of adult children prepare to take care of their elderly parents, they are both financially and emotionally unprepared to become caregivers.

On Wednesday, December 7 from 3 to 6 p.m., LTC Advisors and One Senior Place Greater Orlando will host Blindsided: The Realities of Aging, a free educational event designed to help people learn more about the high cost of elder care and how to prepare for it. Headlining the event is Martie Salt, WFTV-Channel 9 news anchor, who will present her highly informative TV special, Blindsided: The Reality of Caring for Aging Parents. After the presentation, she will take questions from the audience about her personal journey as a caregiver.

Whether you are planning your own retirement or have aging parents, this interactive discussion will provide you with the information you need to navigate the complex landscape of long-term care, living options as you age, elder law issues, and more.
