Attendees met the elder care experts who helped them understand all the different opportunities for senior living here in Brevard County:

Presentations included:
1:00 pm "The Psychology of the Aging Process" Susan G. Schneider, MD, fellowship trained and board certified in Geriatric Medicine will offer practical tips on how best to understand and approach the "Challenges of Change." This informative presentation will examine and explain the importance of family/children being tuned into their parents' aging and medical needs, as well as ensuring you are addressing your own needs while aging.
2:30 pm Too MUCH Choice? Presented by Donna Sargent, Director Senior Places Living Options Showroom, and Suzie Zenker, RN, Director of Clinical Services, One Senior Place Care Management - Making the right senior living choice should not be overwhelming! Let our senior living experts lay the groundwork and offer you strategies and tips to help you understand what options are best suited for your particular living needs.
ALL DAY - Celebrity Chef Competition! Area senior living communities showcased the culinary flair of their chefs and attendees voted for their favorite.
Winner of the Celebrity Chef Competition - Somjit Basler of Wuesthoff Town Square! Chef Basler wowed the event with his tableside preparation of Pad Thai and vegetable fried rice with chicken or chrimp. For dessert, he offered old-fashioned lemon bars, hand-dipped chocolate strawberries and a berry mousse indark chocolate demitasse cups.
Other entries included Buena Vida Estates serving lollipop lamb chops with Israeli cous cous and aus jus gravy. The Fountains had lobster and mango spring rolls, Palm Cottages chef featured Southern crab cakes and from Southland Suites came scorching chicken wings.
