Alzheimer's Caregiver Training

1 - 4 pm

This course is appropriate for the family caregiver and professional caregiver and meets the requirement for Assisted Living Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Level 1 Training and/or the required update.

The curriculum is approved by the Department of Elder Affairs and the Florida Association of Homes and Services for the Aging.  Instructor - Virginia Wood - approved vendor with Department of Elder Affairs. 

The curriculum includes:

• Understanding Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders
• Characteristics of Alzheimer's disease
• Communicating with people with Alzheimer's disease
• Family issues - Basic techniques for coping with Alzheimer's

** SPECIAL TRAINING SESSION to address concerns for Advanced Stages of Alzheimer's - same day, 4 - 5 pm

Cost is $10 per person.
