A series of FREE classes covering the basics of the Mac computer operations will be presented beginning on February 2nd, 2015 at 6:00 pm at One Senior Place (8085 Spyglass Hill Road) in Viera. The course is being hosted by DeLaura Financial Services and the MadMac (Macintosh Users Group of Melbourne) and will be presented by a representative of the User Group.

OSX Yosemite
Basic to Intermediate Level

Learn all the ins and outs of Yosemite, Apple’s Mac OS X 10.10 operating system. We will start with a tour of the core interface elements—the menus, Finder, and Dock—so you can start working with files, folders, and applications right away. He then shows how to save files and find them again quickly, as well as use the core applications that come bundled with Yosemite (Mail, Calendar, iMessage, iTunes, and Safari), and install new apps from the Apple Store. You”ll learn to keep your documents, apps, contacts, and more synchronized and secure across multiple devices and computers with iCloud. Finally, the course explores sharing over a network, and backing up your system, manually or with Time Machine, so you don’t lose any important data.
